I will demonstrate by this Google search for the keyword, "webcasting". See the results here: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=webcasting. There are about 3.7 million sites. Do you want to compete against 3.7 million results?
Let's refine the search by making it more verticle. Let's try "webcasting conference rooms". Here are the results: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=webcasting+conference+rooms. There are about 3.2 million sites.
Let's refine the search further. Let's try "free conference rooms". Here are the reults: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=free+conference+rooms. There are about 65.6 million sites. Now that is a lot of sites! Must be competitive. So now we need to determine if these keywords are actually being used in searchs.
OK, I have done research with the keyword "webcasting". I found that the term, "media streaming webcasting" ranks the highest at 92 searches compilled from all Dogpile & Metacrawler queries over the last 90 days. So what does this mean? Goodkeywords will tell us how competitive this search query is. We will see that the keyword search "media streaming webcasting" is being queried 56 times per day. Is this good?
Let's search with a different query and see. We will use "conference" for our next annalysis. Continuing with the result I found that the term, "conference" ranks the highest at 277 searches compilled from all Dogpile & Metacrawler queries over the last 90 days. So what does this mean? Goodkeywords will tell us how competitive this search query is. We will see that the keyword search "conference" is being queried 168 times per day. This is a quick illustration to show you how to determine what keywords to go after. Obviously, "conference" is a better keyword to go after. But both are good, so maybe I will go after both of them. So, how do I "go after them"? A little more research is needed.
To determine how many back links these sites have we need to copy the URL at the bottom of the first query. It is "www.web2con.com/" colored green. Highlite the URL and copy it. Now go to Google's advanced search at http://www.google.com/advanced_search?q=conference&hl=en&lr=&safe=off. Near the bottom is the Page Specific Search system. Paste the URL into the second field for LINKS. Press the "SEARCH" button. We will see: Results 1 - 10 of about 1,940 linking to www.web2con.com/. This site has 1,940 web pages pointing to it.
Now let's check the second query result: Results 1 - 10 of about 1,240 linking to www.conference-board.org/. We see that there are 1,240 web pages pointing to it. NOTE: This URL has the word "conference" in it. This is important as well. More on that later.
Checking the third one: Results 1 - 10 of about 1,460 linking to www.gdconf.com/. Actually shows more back links than the second one, but less than the first one. The reason is the second one uses the keyword conference in it's domain.
If you check all of these back linking sites you will see that most of the back links contain the keyword conference. Making the link bold also gives that back link more relative weight to the search engine robots too. Example: conference.
If you are competing for top placement, and the other queries have little or no back linking, the search engines turn to the content. The content needs to be 3%-5% key word rich. Content includes: Title Tag, Meta Tag keywords, Meta Tag description, image Alt tags, and the content (The bulk of your web site). The search engines will also reward you for fresh and current content. In other words, if your content chages from the last time the robots visited, they will rank you higher and also come back to visit sooner. Keeping your content fresh, current and consistent with your keywords is an art. NOTE: Ever notice how forums, press releases and blogs get to the top faster? This is why.
This is why all your Traffic Portals incorporate RSS feeds. RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a family of web feeds formats. Subscribing to an RSS feed produces content on your web site that the search engine robots read as being your sites content. We recommend Blogfather, your very own and very simple RSS feed publisher that works seemlessly within your Veretekk system and Portals. Blogfather training is coming. Or you can use blogs or forums if you want to set them up. Both offer RSS feeds.
Another option is searching for RSS feeds that publish content that reflects your search keyword campaign. To do that requires significant research, but can be done. I highly recommend learning to use Blogfather to produce the desired results your looking for. There will be dedicated training available for Blogfather. Check the calendar for this.
Another option is setting up your own blog or forum. We have dedicated training for this as well. Check the training calendar.
Daisy chaining is a series of different web sites that all link to each other and also point to your main site. The reason for linking them to each other is so you only have to submit that last page in your series of daisy chains to the search engines. That way the robot does all the work. Otherwise, you would have to submit each page you made to the search engines.
NOTE: You only need to submit the final page to Google, as all other search engines index off of Google, the KING of search engines (Google represents 47% of all searches). The following link is where you will submit your finished daisy chain page: Google ADD URL. You can also produce with your Veretekk Traffic Portals, what we call a "Swarm". This means configuring all of your Traffic Portals with your key words and inter-linking them together to promote your targeted URL or Traffic Portal. This is easily done using the "Linkomatis" tool in your Traffic Portal Control Panels. Similar to daisy chaining, you inter link each Portal as well as add an additional link to promote your main site. This can be tricky, because you have to really focus each portal to promote your keyword(s), as well as links to each other Traffic Portal. With training, this is easily done.
OK, is your brain folded in half yet?
There is a ton of web sites that use a script called Hot Links that serve this campaign well. You can find them in Google HERE. Take the time to do this. The benifits are huge. It takes time to build SEO results, but with the knowledge we teach you here, you can gain results in record time.
The Drill
Veretekk incorparates a tool called the drill that semin-automates the building of daisy chains. We have training on the Drill. Check the calendar. NOTE: Make sure the copy you use in drilling changes from one post to the other to a small degree, retaining the 3% to 5% key word in the content. Also, make sure your links are your "keyword(s)".
